The HIV/AIDS Services Administration (HASA) provides access to benefits and services to one of New York City's most vulnerable populations: low-income New Yorkers diagnosed with HIV or AIDS. HASA offers services such as intensive case management, direct linkages to Cash Assistance, Medicaid, SNAP, Long Term Care, Homemaking, and access to emergency and permanent housing. With approximately 1,100 employees, HASA serves over 33,000 clients, including 2,500 families. Due to advances in healthcare, HASA has adapted its services to meet evolving client needs, focusing on maximizing access to healthcare, improving housing quality and availability, and supporting clients who wish to enter or return to the workplace through voluntary vocational services. HASA is committed to providing high-quality, individualized, efficient, and effective services. Eligibility criteria have been expanded to include all persons diagnosed with HIV, regardless of symptom status, to help them maintain stable, healthy lives.
