About The Position

At Magical Beginnings Learning Centers, we believe strong childcare programs are built by strong, supported leaders. We are hiring a Massachusetts EEC Director II–certified Center Director to lead our brand-new school opening in Georgetown, MA. This is an opportunity for an experienced early childhood education leader who understands EEC compliance and childcare operations — and is ready to build a center's culture from the ground up, shaping the environment, the team, and the family relationships from day one. Our organization is well-established and operationally structured, giving new Directors the resources, enrollment support, and staffing partnership needed to open strong and run a compliant, high-quality program successfully. This center is scheduled to open in January, but we are hiring now to help us prepare and welcome our new staff and families!

Requirements

  • Massachusetts EEC Director II certification (required)
  • Minimum of an Associate's Degree in Early Childhood Education or a related degree with relevant experience or training
  • Minimum of 2–4 years of experience in a leadership role in a daycare, preschool, or early childhood education setting
  • Strong knowledge of EEC compliance, licensing, and childcare regulations
  • Current First Aid and CPR certification, active continuing education, and an updated State Registry
  • Experience with enrollment management and staff leadership
  • Commitment to high-quality early childhood education

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all center operations, ensuring full compliance with Massachusetts EEC regulations and licensing requirements, and alignment with Magical Beginnings' mission, goals, and handbooks
  • Ensure and implement all child-to-teacher state-mandated ratio compliances and safety/education regulations
  • Maintain mastery of licensure regulations — prepare the school for its licensing visits, communicate with licensors, and adapt to regulatory changes
  • Ensure staff and child files remain compliant at all times, and that monthly fire drills are completed
  • Schedule school staff within budgeted payroll guidelines while meeting licensure and company quality standards
  • Supervise, coach, and support teaching staff, building a cohesive, cooperative team culture as the school opens
  • Manage staffing, scheduling, and classroom ratios during the critical ramp-up period of a new center
  • Ensure implementation of a developmental, multicultural curriculum that supports skill progression and social development across all classrooms
  • Guide staff in assessing and recording child growth and observations in Teacher Strategies Gold
  • Conduct monthly staff meetings, one-on-one check-ins with staff, and parent meetings as needed
  • Partner with families to build strong communication and drive enrollment as the center establishes itself in the community
