About The Position
The Donelson-Hermitage YMCA is Now Hiring for a Center Day Camp Coordinator Position Type: Seasonal Pay Range starts at $15 per hour (or more depending on experience) Do you love working with kids and creating unforgettable experiences? The YMCA of Middle Tennessee is looking for Center Day Camp Coordinator s to help us lead and elevate our camp programs. This role is all about teamwork, creativity, and making a positive impact. What You'll Do: Plan and lead awesome camp activities that kids will love. Support and supervise camp counselors, ensuring a safe and fun environment. Communicate with parents and address their concerns with care. Organize schedules, manage supplies, and keep records to ensure smooth operations. NOTE: This is a seasonal position running from mid-May through early August. The role requires consistent availability Monday–Friday. Shifts can be scheduled within the window of 6:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., but you will work no more than 8.5 hours per day, five days per week. Applicants must be able to commit to this schedule and availability for the full season.
Requirements
- Minimum Age: 18
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- At least one year of experience as a camp counselor or in a leadership role; experience running camp programs is a plus!
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends.
- Certifications in CPR, AED, and First Aid (can be completed post-hire).
