About The Position

Become a part of our caring community. You will report to the Associate Operations Director. This is an onsite outpatient clinic located in Chesapeake, VA. This role oversees operations within a multi-physician office or clinical group, maintaining an owner-operator mindset and leading by example. The Center Administrator supervises and manages Medical Assistants (MA) and Front Office (FO) staff to promote a positive team culture, guide performance expectations, and manage daily schedules. They ensure adherence to state and federal regulations, plan and execute staff meetings, demonstrate strong financial acumen, and manage Profit & Loss (P&L) to connect strategy with business results. The role also manages front-of-house and back-office operations, ensuring the center is clean, organized, and welcoming. They manage center associates ensuring sufficient staff, onboarding new associates, including providers, and ongoing training and development. The Center Administrator conducts monthly meetings with Regional AOD, AMDs, and providers, monitors and improves NPS Scores, providing explanations and conducting service recovery requests. They foster effective collaboration and communication with colleagues, patients, and key stakeholders, and provide assistance with administrative duties such as expense reporting, new provider hiring/onboarding, license/credentialing management, and scheduling. Additionally, the role is committed to creating patient-centric environments and fostering a culture of care and connection, delivering service excellence by prioritizing patient needs, ensuring high satisfaction, and including their perspectives in decision-making. They partner with clinical leadership to address clinician performance issues and manage and resolve patient complaints, focusing on retention and acquisition. The Center Administrator conducts monthly safety audits, performs audits of clinical logs to ensure compliance and quality, manages MSDS and OSHA concerns, and addresses clinic operation opportunities. They collaborate with providers on patient terminations in collaboration with risk management.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of operational leadership experience within a multi-physician office or clinical group, including front of house management and clinical operations, along with direct leadership experience and a demonstrated ability to lead, coach, and mentor teams.
  • Healthcare practice management experience.
  • Understanding of state and federal healthcare regulations.
  • Experience with Electronic Medical Record (EMRs) or Health Information Management (HIMs) systems and knowledge of various software tools.
  • Proven interpersonal skills with the ability to interface effectively both internally and externally with a wide range of people including physicians, office staff, hospital executives, medical groups, IPA's, community organizations and other health plan staff.
  • Job is considered patient facing and is part of Humana's Tuberculosis (TB) screening program. Candidates selected for this job will be required to be screened for TB.
  • Current CPR certification.
  • Associates working in the State of Florida will need ACHA Level II Background clearance.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or a related field; or, in lieu of a bachelor's degree, 5+ years of Healthcare Administration/Leadership experience.
  • Full-risk VBC experience.
  • Basic knowledge of Population Health Strategy.
  • Familiarity with Medicare.
