About The Position

The City of Raleigh Parks, Recreation and Cultural Resources Department (PRCR) is seeking candidates for a part-time Cemetery Maintenance Worker position. This role is part of a 5-member team responsible for maintaining historic cemeteries throughout the city to high standards of quality and safety. The department's mission is to connect and enrich the community through exceptional experiences, and this role contributes to the quality of life in the Capital City by maintaining its parks, greenway trails, and historic cemeteries.

• High School Diploma or GED OR An equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job

Responsibilities

• Mowing, edging, blowing, trimming, mulching, debris pickup, trash pick up and leaf removal
• Weeding by hand or tools
• Installing and watering plants
• Operates machinery, including a Zero-Turn mower, string trimmer, Edger, pruners, & backpack blowers
• Attends all required safety trainings, and participates in team building activities
• Other duties may be assigned
