About The Position

This role is responsible for cemetery ground maintenance, assisting in cemetery operations including conducting burials, and following a work order process to respond to family requests for upkeep. The position requires working individually and as part of a team to provide a high standard of service to cemetery visitors.

Requirements

High School diploma/GED
3-5 years groundskeeping or landscaper experience
2 - 4 years operating heavy equipment and using power tools
General ground and facility maintenance knowledge and skills
Ability to perform math calculations and measurements
Ability to conduct oneself with a “Family First” approach
History of working with others as part of a team
Valid state issued driver’s license, good driving record, and proof of insurance
Lift or carry objects weighing between 100-150 lbs.
Push or pull up to 300 lbs. with a wheeled cart
Ability to work outdoors in all types of weather conditions
FBI/BCI fingerprint screening
Diocese of Youngstown Safe Environment Training (VIRTUS certificate)
Completion of Diocese of Youngstown Employment Application
