About The Position

The Cemetery Groundskeeper at Everstory Partners is responsible for the care, maintenance, and repair of cemetery property, as well as supporting the safety and security of employees and visitors. The role calls for a dedicated, reliable, hard-working person who pays close attention to detail and provides a high level of customer service. Duties include landscape maintenance, equipment upkeep, general property maintenance, assisting with funeral services, operating machinery safely, installing cemetery vaults and memorials, and snow removal where applicable. The Groundskeeper also performs other duties as assigned by the Grounds Superintendent.

Requirements

• High school equivalency.
• At least 2 years of experience in maintenance or a related field.
• Ability to operate maintenance equipment and machinery.
• Ability to read and execute memos and directives from a supervisor or management.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to handle multiple tasks with interruptions.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to lift up to 80 pounds.
• Valid state driver’s license.
• Availability to work some holidays, evenings, and weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform landscape maintenance, including weed-whacking and lawn mowing.
• Maintain equipment.
• Perform functions related to funeral services.
• Operate machinery safely and appropriately.
• Install or assist in installing cemetery vaults.
• Install headstones or memorials as needed.
• Handle day-to-day general maintenance duties.
• Perform snow removal when applicable.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Grounds Superintendent.
