About The Position

Requirements

• Familiarity with all cemetery grounds maintenance procedures and practices.
• Knowledge of all operations including section maps, pins and gravesite numbering system for laying out each site.
• Awareness of preventative maintenance in relationship to the cemeteries light and heavy equipment.
• Ability to operate power hand tools.
• Ability to perform plastering, plumbing, and roof repairs.
• Ability to perform carpentry.
• Ability to lift/maneuver a 220-pound grave marker with the help of one additional person.
• Valid Virginia driver’s license.

Nice To Haves

• High school education/GED or cemetery experience of six (6) months.
