About The Position

This is a seasonal position with the Rhode Island Veterans Cemetery located at 301 South County Trail, Exeter, RI 02822. All appointments to seasonal positions are of limited duration. The specific employment date of a seasonal position will be specified at the time of the appointment. The Cemetery Aide performs supervised and assisted installation and care of headstones, gravestone markers and niche covers. Responsibilities include weeding, raking, pruning, watering, fertilizing (under licensed supervision), mowing, and general care of landscaped and grass areas. The role involves operating manual push and/or motor-powered mowers, weed eaters, trimmers, and small off-road vehicles. Additionally, the aide will assist RIVMC staff in maintaining Cemetery grounds by keeping them free of litter, debris, and unauthorized grave adornments.

Requirements

• Employment eligibility validation through E-Verify is required.
• Must have a financial institution for direct deposit.
• Must participate in the direct deposit system.

• Licensed supervision for fertilizing.

Responsibilities
