About The Position

The Cellular / Radio Frequency (RF) Engineer is responsible for managing and supporting cellular and RF spectrum operations, ensuring effective coordination, planning, and execution of communications systems supporting multidomain training environments. Oak Grove Technologies is a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Business based in Raleigh, NC, with a Test and Training Center located near Fort Bragg and Camp Mackall. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electronics Engineering, Spectrum Management, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Minimum 5 years in cellular systems, RF engineering, or spectrum management
  • Experience with 2G, 3G, 4G, and 5G technologies
  • Knowledge of cellular frequency management and licensing coordination
  • Experience with Federal Communications Commission (FCC) licensing (e.g., Experimental STA applications)
  • Understanding of telecommunications systems, transmission media, and system performance
  • Ability to coordinate spectrum usage with stakeholders to meet training objectives
  • U.S. Citizenship and an active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility are required.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, design, and manage cellular and RF-related projects
  • Oversee RF spectrum engineering and management across operational sites
  • Coordinate spectrum usage with federal and state agencies
  • Monitor and maintain spectrum baselines during training exercises
  • Perform spectrum deconfliction to support operational objectives
