Requirements
- Proficiency in cello performance with formal training or equivalent professional experience
- Ability to teach students across all levels, from beginner to advanced
- Strong knowledge of music theory, classical repertoire, and various teaching methodologies (Suzuki, traditional, etc.)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with students and families
- Reliable, punctual, and professional demeanor
Nice To Haves
- Prior teaching experience in cello or classical string instruction preferred
- Bachelor's degree in Music or related field preferred but not required
Responsibilities
- Provide engaging one-on-one or group cello lessons to students of varying ages and skill levels
- Develop customized lesson plans tailored to each student's goals and learning pace
- Teach proper cello technique, music theory, sight-reading, and performance skills
- Track and evaluate student progress and communicate updates to parents or guardians
- Prepare students for recitals, auditions, and music examinations
- Maintain a positive, encouraging, and structured learning environment
- Collaborate with school staff to support school events, recitals, and programs
