About The Position

As a Cellar Worker at Parallel 49 Brewing Company, you will play a key role in maintaining the cleanliness and functionality of our tanks. Your primary responsibility will be ensuring that tanks are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized between brews, contributing to the overall quality and consistency of our craft beers. This position involves collaboration with the brewing and packaging teams to uphold a high standard of cleanliness throughout the brewery.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a brewery or similar production environment, with a focus on tank cleaning and cellar operations.
• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, sanitation procedures, and industry best practices.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and quality.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Nice To Haves

• Formal brewing education or certification is a preferred.

Responsibilities

• Execute thorough cleaning and sanitation of fermentation and conditioning tanks, ensuring they meet or exceed industry cleanliness standards.
• Collaborate with the brewing team to perform routine maintenance on cellar equipment, including pumps, hoses, and fittings, to optimize performance. Report all major issues to the Maintenance team and the Brew Team Manager.
• Work closely with brewers to monitor and maintain the cleanliness of all cellar equipment, contributing to the overall quality and consistency of the brewing process.
• Maintain accurate records in accordance with Parallel 49’s standard operating procedures.
• Communicate effectively with the brewing team to ensure tanks are prepared and ready for each brewing cycle, minimizing downtime.
• Adhere to safety protocols and sanitation standards to create a safe and clean working environment. Follow all industry regulations related to cleanliness and sanitation.
