About The Position

Asahi Beer USA / Octopi Brewing is seeking a Cellar Supervisor to serve as the go-to leader for their shift. This role involves making real-time production decisions, ensuring communication flows between Cellar, Batching, Brewhouse, and Packaging departments, and supporting the team to meet their goals. The Cellar Supervisor will report directly to the Cellar Manager and has real decision-making authority, influencing staffing, scheduling, and process improvement. This is a high-visibility role connecting various departments each shift.

Requirements

• Comfortable standing for extended periods and lifting 55 lbs / moving 165 lbs as needed
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and time management
• Basic troubleshooting skills in a brewing or manufacturing setting
• Flexibility to work various shifts and prioritize shifting tasks

Nice To Haves

• 2–3 years of experience in a brewing environment
• Degree in Brewing Science/Technology

Responsibilities

• Serve as the accountable leader for your shift — making production decisions and keeping scheduled work on track
• Act as the primary communicator between your shift and the Cellar Manager, Packaging, and the Brewhouse operator
• Check in regularly with your team, provide feedback, and help resolve concerns as they come up
• Recommend staffing and schedule changes based on your read of the process and workflow
• Ensure documentation, sanitation, and safety standards are completed and handed off cleanly to the next shift
• Delegate work across the shift, including the batching team and other brewing support as needed
