About The Position

CareDx is a leading precision medicine diagnostics company focused on advancing care in transplant, specialty oncology, and cell therapy. They offer innovative molecular diagnostics, digital health solutions, AI-powered data and analytics, and patient support services. The Cell Therapy Account Manager will be responsible for increasing the adoption and volume of CareDx's Cell Therapy & Transplant portfolio, including AlloHeme and related molecular testing and digital solutions. This role will target blood and marrow transplant centers, cell therapy programs, hematology-oncology practices, and academic medical centers. The Account Manager will educate providers on the clinical benefits of AlloHeme, assist in the implementation of new testing programs, and drive ongoing usage through strategic account management. Collaboration with Clinical Liaisons, Medical Affairs, Customer Experience, Marketing, and Sales Operations is expected to develop and execute account-specific growth strategies. The ideal candidate is a consultative seller with strong clinical knowledge, strategic account management abilities, and the capacity to navigate complex healthcare organizations with multiple stakeholders and approval processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Minimum of 10 years sales or strategic account management experience in the healthcare industry
  • Demonstrated ability to sell clinically within the hematology-oncology market
  • Proven success selling into large academic medical centers, cancer centers, hospitals, and complex healthcare systems
  • Demonstrated experience navigating multi-stakeholder decision-making environments involving physicians, laboratory leadership, administrators, procurement teams, and operational stakeholders
  • Proven ability to establish and implement clinical, operational, laboratory, or workflow protocols within healthcare organizations
  • Experience supporting healthcare contracting processes
  • Strong strategic account management and territory planning skills
  • Excellent written, verbal, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally to drive customer adoption and implementation success
  • Must be willing to travel 50- 75% or greater and effectively manage a large geographic territory
  • Proficient with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Salesforce.com and analytical tools

Responsibilities

  • Develop a deep understanding of customer needs, clinical workflows, operational challenges, and organizational objectives.
  • Identify opportunities to expand adoption of CareDx Cell Therapy & Transplant solutions and develop account-specific strategies to drive utilization and long-term growth.
  • Build clinical understanding and confidence in AlloHeme and the broader CareDx Cell Therapy & Transplant portfolio through scientific and clinical discussions with physicians, advanced practice providers, transplant coordinators, laboratory leadership, and other key stakeholders.
  • Partner with Medical Affairs to address advanced scientific and clinical questions when appropriate.
  • Lead account onboarding and activation activities to support successful implementation of AlloHeme and other CareDx testing solutions.
  • Work with clinical liaisons and customer stakeholders to establish ordering, reporting, sample logistics, and operational workflows.
  • Help customers navigate institutional review and approval processes required for adoption.
  • Develop and execute strategic account plans that drive adoption, increase market penetration, expand the CareDx footprint, and achieve commercial objectives.
  • Effectively prioritize opportunities and resources to maximize territory performance.
  • Support execution of Laboratory Service Agreements (LSAs) and other customer agreements as needed.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to facilitate contracting activities and remove barriers to implementation and adoption.
  • Identify and engage key clinical, laboratory, operational, and administrative stakeholders.
  • Establish trusted partnerships across customer organizations, proactively identify unmet needs, and ensure a high level of customer satisfaction and account retention.
  • Maintain a robust sales pipeline and territory business plan.
  • Forecast opportunities, track implementation milestones, monitor utilization trends, and provide regular business updates on territory performance.
  • Partner closely with Clinical Liaison, Medical Affairs, Marketing, Customer Experience, Market Access, Sales Operations, and Operations teams to develop solutions that support customer success and drive business growth.
