This position is responsible for producing dispensing closures in a quality and cost efficient manner, troubleshooting process problems, and performing any necessary changes, as well as elements of quality and productivity. The role involves ensuring equipment runs to set standards, performing hourly checks on products, and conducting specified functional testing throughout the shift. The technician is responsible for recording all quality data and test results, troubleshooting production process issues, and making authorized system changes. If problems cannot be repaired, the technician must take appropriate action to maintain production, including notifying appropriate individuals. This role also includes performing Mattec changes and process adjustments, ensuring proper procedures are followed for mold line clearance and press clean down to prevent contamination, and performing and documenting daily preventative maintenance. Material handling tasks such as emptying and filling boxes, applying labels, managing bins, scrap handling, and recording production and scrap data are also key responsibilities. Maintaining an organized and clean shop floor, adhering to safety standards, and keeping work areas clear are essential. Employees may perform other duties as assigned based on skill and availability when work in their primary classification is not available.
