About The Position

The Cell Tech will be responsible for operating major equipment on multiple lines or cells, completing equipment changeovers, and performing general maintenance such as lubrication, cleaning, and repairs. This role involves educating other employees on equipment operation after receiving central maintenance training, maintaining production levels, and organizing scheduled Preventive Maintenance (PMs). The Cell Tech will also be involved in general part replacement, rebuilding, and the use of shop equipment. Additionally, they will instruct and train others on changeover methods and Total Productive Maintenance, modify and improve equipment independently, diagnose and recommend rebuilds, and read/interpret blueprints. The position requires performing jobs across the entire line.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent preferably with vocational education training in skilled trades or other related discipline.
  • 2-4 years of experience machine set-up and processing.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office software and general computer use.
  • Must complete Quality Systems Overview training in addition to any training identified by department management.
  • Own rolling tool chest with appropriate tools.

Nice To Haves

  • Preferred completion of a 2 year Tech School Training in Industrial Maintenance or 3 to 5 years of experience.
  • Works independently in day-to-day activities. Responsible for initial planning and arranging own work and responsible for outcome and closure.

Responsibilities

  • Operate major equipment on multiple lines or cell.
  • Complete changeover of equipment.
  • Service equipment involving general maintenance practices of lubrication, cleaning, repair or adjustments and identification of abnormal repair for central maintenance correction.
  • Educate other employees on equipment within the line, section or cell after being certified to do so through central maintenance training.
  • Maintain production levels of assigned equipment within the line, section, or cell resulting in satisfactory production and scrap levels set by management.
  • Organize and complete scheduled PMs.
  • General part replacement.
  • General rebuild capability.
  • Essential use of shop equipment.
