About The Position

This role focuses on completing specialized processes within a manufacturing cell, including brazing, various bonding techniques, and operating a range of manufacturing equipment. The specialist is responsible for ensuring parts meet engineering blueprints and tolerance requirements through meticulous preparation, inspection, and testing. Maintaining a clean and organized work area, accurate record-keeping, and contributing to team goals for quality and efficiency are also key aspects of this position.

Requirements

  • Experience with brazing processes and other bonding techniques.
  • Ability to set up and operate manufacturing process equipment (heat treat ovens, precision cleaning, polishing, laser I.D, Expander machine, pressure test, and power flush).
  • Skill in removing burrs, sharp edges, tool marks, and other irregularities from machined parts.
  • Proficiency in completing inspection and/or test related activities.
  • Experience using hand tools, shears, grinders, drills, saws, tube bending and flaring equipment, and tube threading equipment.
  • Ability to maintain proper part identification and accurate records/documentation.
  • Knowledge of cleaning, organizing, and maintaining a manufacturing work area.
  • Understanding of quality improvement through scrap reduction and throughput improvement.
  • Ability to perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

  • Completes brazing processes and other bonding techniques.
  • Sets up and operates various manufacturing process equipment including heat treat ovens, precision cleaning, polishing, laser I.D, Expander machine, pressure test, and power flush.
  • Removes burrs, sharp edges, tool marks, and other irregularities from machined parts to ensure they are in accordance with engineering blueprints and tolerance requirements.
  • Completes inspection and/or test related activities to ensure that parts are machined in accordance with manufacturing standards and blueprint specifications.
  • Uses a variety of hand tools, shears, grinders, drills, saws, tube bending and flaring equipment, tube threading, and other items to be used in assembly.
  • Maintains proper identification of parts per planning specifications and ensures that accurate and reliable records and documentation are maintained.
  • Cleans, organizes, and maintains the cellular manufacturing work area in accordance with established standards.
  • Strives to accomplish team goals and enhance the quality of parts through the reduction of scrap and improvement of throughput.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
