About The Position

Ontic is a leading global aerospace Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) trusted by the world’s aviation leaders. Ontic’s Creedmoor, NC, site is home to a number of specialist companies within the Ontic Group, including Metro Merlin, Twin Commander, and Firstmark. With over 1,500 employees across four time zones and seven sites, Ontic has more than doubled in size since 2019 and is continuing to grow at pace. The Cell Manager is responsible for overseeing a portfolio of customer relationships, ensuring a high standard of customer experience while supporting the team in meeting financial and operational objectives. This role will lead a team and coordinate cross-functional activities related to assigned customers, maintaining clear communication and driving continuous improvement in customer-facing processes.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience of UK, EU and US Commercial and Government contracting desirable.
  • Experience of aerospace or defence industry particularly MRO desirable.
  • Knowledge of UK, EU and US import and export regulations desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Play a key role in fostering long-term customer relationships and supporting growth through exceptional service management.
  • Propose and maintain a clear medium and long-term strategy for our customers and their respective product.
  • Involvement in pricing strategies, with the support of the Sales team and Revenue Management team, to ensure maximum value creation across every aspect of the business.
  • Pro-actively resolve customer complaints and problems and escalate as necessary in support of building and maintaining high levels of Customer Excellence.
  • Analyse the market and commercial activity to ensure the inventory levels and lead times are appropriate to meet customer requirements and provide opportunities.
  • Monitor on-time delivery, and operational performance to ensure successful execution.
  • Contribute to developing broader business strategies, budgets, and performance reviews.
  • Build strong long-term relationships with customers.
  • Coordinate and participate in meetings and reviews between Ontic and the customer.
  • Participation and involvement of weekly forecasting of financials for the month, quarter, and FY.
  • Lead the planning and production control teams.
  • Establish workflow, scheduling, tactical and strategic planning to support our products and services.
  • Ensure material availability by developing, reviewing, and updating material LOB and service level BOMs.
  • Responsible for ongoing identification and repair coordination of unserviceable material.
  • Work cross-functionally with internal teams, external vendors, and internal stakeholders.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor key performance indicators.
  • Clear and accurate FLASH reporting.
  • Adhere to legislation governing employment, including but not restricted to; health and safety, data protection, equal opportunities ensuring compliance with local policies and procedures.
  • Comply with statutory requirements and regulations and Company policies.
  • Undertake such other duties commensurate with the role that may be required from time to time.
