About The Position

Pratt & Whitney is constructing an Advanced Casting Foundry (ACF) within its Asheville, NC factory. We’re looking for an experienced Cell Leader who can assist the ACF with site startup on-site and be heavily involved in long-term production planning. This role involves supporting the ACF as a Supervisor, assisting with facility startup, onboarding, training, and directing skilled employees. The position focuses on leading employee engagement, driving continuous improvement efforts guided by Control Tower objectives, and leading sustained improvements in safety, quality, production, material procurement, and cost reduction. Project management, effective communication, and execution with support group members are critical for success. The role is part of a cross-functional team responsible for establishing a greenfield foundry.

Requirements

• A Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience, and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of related experience
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite programs including Excel
• U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract

• Specialized knowledge of technical/operational practices and/or shop environment experience
• Experience with continuous improvement principles & lean manufacturing

Responsibilities

• Be part of a cross functional team charged with standing up a greenfield foundry in Asheville
• Participate in process to identify and onboard operators to support facility standup
• Lead employee engagement and continuous improvement efforts
• Lead sustained improvements in safety, quality, production, material procurement, and cost reduction through the system’s various elements
• Perform daily supervisor responsibilities, project management, effective communication, and execution with support group members
• Establish work schedules considering customer requirements, resource availability and other priorities
• Provide leadership and direction with an emphasis on team building through daily toolbox meetings, effective communications, and in developing an efficient team that is responsive to production requirements and changes
• Work dedicatedly to address issues and engage the workforce in achieving cell goals
• Demonstrate a 100% dedication to Quality, Environment Health, and Safety (EHS) and Standard Production System (SPS)
• Drive quality and customer satisfaction through CORE operating system / continuous improvement
