About The Position

The cell lead will help direct day-to-day operations within their assigned cell. They will help to cover employee absences within the cell, ensure employees are utilizing time efficiently, meet daily/weekly goals set, and assist in all training and troubleshooting opportunities. The cell lead will assist in the growth and improvement of our current processes.

Requirements

Strong background and knowledge of units being built, ability to finish any unit
Minimum of 3 years working in a shop environment
Ability to problem solve and improve upon the current process
Strong leadership abilities, able to motivate and inspire a team
Must have strong workforce planning skills, be decisive and well-organized
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced production environment
Ability to lead a team by providing direction, coaching, and creating an environment that encourages everyone to work with others
Ability to help continue to develop new and existing talent
Ability to listen to others’ ideas and create engagement
Ability to work independently without direction
Must have a great eye for detail and show leadership abilities
Works well with other departments including scheduling/warehouse/parts

Responsibilities

Execute the assigned plan received from the General Manager for daily/weekly goals
Assist in the training of new employees
Ensure the approved build process is followed by the employees while mitigating part issues, and troubleshooting constraints
Works to improve upon the current processes
Leads team by example, motivates and develops team to help meet or exceed production expectations.
Help the scheduler maintain a current list of builds on hold due to parts, assisting Drivetrain techs to improve output.
Ensures a safe workplace by communicating to management any unsafe acts or conditions
Works with management to help develop SOP/WI
Communicates with maintenance on equipment issues
Other duties determined by management
