About The Position

GenScript is seeking a motivated, detail-oriented Cell Culture Associate Scientist for its US Protein Department. The position focuses on cultivating and maintaining suspension cell lines to support the production of high-quality biologics. The ideal candidate has a foundation in cell biology or biotechnology and hands-on experience in a laboratory or production setting. The estimated salary range is $60,000–$75,000, depending on experience.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in cell biology, biotechnology, or a related scientific field.
• Strong hands-on laboratory skills and the ability to work independently and troubleshoot effectively.
• Excellent communication, teamwork, and organizational skills.
• Highly responsible, reliable, and proactive in meeting deadlines and delivering projects.

Nice To Haves

• At least 1 year of relevant experience in cell culture or laboratory operations.
• Prior experience in a CRO or CDMO environment.
• Familiarity with laboratory data documentation systems and good data integrity practices.

Responsibilities

• Perform suspension cell culture operations in accordance with established protocols, ensuring consistency, quality, and efficiency.
• Monitor and troubleshoot cell culture processes, promptly reporting and helping resolve production-related issues.
• Maintain accurate documentation of experiments, procedures, and results, and prepare reports as needed.
• Submit weekly summaries of completed work to support team planning and performance reviews.
• Collaborate with team members to review and update production records and standard operating procedures (SOPs) to improve accuracy and consistency.
• Support additional tasks and projects as assigned by the department supervisor.
