About The Position

ESP is currently recruiting for all levels of CEI Inspectors for highway, bridge, and municipal projects throughout the Charlotte area. As a Transportation and Infrastructure-focused firm, ESP’s CEI and CM professionals work diligently on our client’s behalf to verify and document their assigned project is built as intended. Our experience includes various types of construction contracting methods including General Bid-Build, Design-Build, and Public Private Partnerships (P3). Our role is to be a valued asset to the project team, adding value through knowledge, communication, and experience. ESP has received a designation of 189 on the 2026 ENR Top 500 Design Firm rankings. For the firm's primary territory, the ENR Texas & Southeast Top Design Firms, ESP received a 2026 ranking of 53.

Requirements

Previous experience in the inspection of transportation projects
Current certifications, or the ability to acquire certifications from NCDOT
Ability to pass a drug screen
Ability to pass a background check
Satisfactory driving record in accordance with the company’s driving (MVR) policy

Responsibilities

Verify and document that assigned projects are built as intended.
