Requirements

High school diploma or GED required.
Experience in construction inspection, materials testing, or civil engineering preferred.
Transportation or roadway project experience is a plus.
Knowledge of construction materials and testing procedures.
Ability to read engineering plans and specifications.
Strong attention to detail and documentation skills.
Basic computer and reporting software proficiency.
Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to lift equipment and travel to project sites.

Nice To Haves

Experience in construction inspection, materials testing, or civil engineering preferred.
Transportation or roadway project experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

Perform field and laboratory testing of construction materials including Concrete, Asphalt, Soil, Aggregate, Density and compaction testing
Inspect construction activities for compliance with project specifications and safety regulations.
Collect material samples and maintain proper chain-of-custody documentation.
Prepare daily reports, test results, and inspection documentation.
Communicate findings with project engineers, contractors, and supervisors.
Use testing equipment and maintain calibration records.
Monitor construction sites for adherence to quality control standards.
Review project plans and specifications before testing activities.
Ensure compliance with DOT, ASTM, AASHTO, and local regulatory standards.
Maintain safe work practices in field and laboratory environments.
