Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Experience in construction inspection, materials testing, or civil engineering preferred.
  • Transportation or roadway project experience is a plus.
  • Knowledge of construction materials and testing procedures.
  • Ability to read engineering plans and specifications.
  • Strong attention to detail and documentation skills.
  • Basic computer and reporting software proficiency.
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to lift equipment and travel to project sites.
  • Sponsorship is not available for this role.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in construction inspection, materials testing, or civil engineering preferred.
  • Transportation or roadway project experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Perform field and laboratory testing of construction materials including Concrete, Asphalt, Soil, Aggregate, Density and compaction testing
  • Inspect construction activities for compliance with project specifications and safety regulations.
  • Collect material samples and maintain proper chain-of-custody documentation.
  • Prepare daily reports, test results, and inspection documentation.
  • Communicate findings with project engineers, contractors, and supervisors.
  • Use testing equipment and maintain calibration records.
  • Monitor construction sites for adherence to quality control standards.
  • Review project plans and specifications before testing activities.
  • Ensure compliance with DOT, ASTM, AASHTO, and local regulatory standards.
  • Maintain safe work practices in field and laboratory environments.
