About The Position

RS&H is currently seeking an experienced CEI Project Manager to join our Transportation Construction Management team in Ft Myers, FL. This position is designed for a highly adaptable, relationship-driven professional who thrives in a fast-moving, municipal and transportation market. While this role may visit project sites as needed, the CEI Project Manager will primarily focus on client support, technical leadership, and market development rather than just being assigned full-time to a single project. As part of the construction management team, you’ll serve an integral role in the firm by acting as a trusted owner’s representative and technical partner to both clients and internal teams. This position will support project teams, build new client relationships, assist with business development efforts, and provide technical oversight across a variety of transportation and municipal projects. As part of the RS&H team, you will: Support client relationships and serve as a technical liaison for FDOT, municipalities, agencies, and transit authorities. Assist with business development pursuits, client meetings, and proposal strategy. Provide technical guidance to inspection and project teams across the region. Review plans, specifications, schedules, RFIs, claims, change orders, and project documentation. Assist with constructability reviews, risk mitigation, and issue resolution. Mentor and support field and office staff. Participate in the development of new contract opportunities and pursuits. Help develop and refine policies, methods, practices, and procedures.

Requirements

  • Have a bachelor’s degree in engineering from an ABET accredited program and 10 years relevant experience, OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Have experience in project administration and in construction of major road or bridge structures and proven ability to successfully address challenging or potentially controversial issues in a sound professional and business-like manner.
  • Have experience in transportation, municipal, development, or transit-related construction.
  • Be highly adaptable, resilient, and comfortable working across diverse project types.
  • Have the ability to effectively interact with and build strong relationships with clients, customers, contractors, and internal teams.
  • Have a valid driver’s license, be insurable, and be able to safely operate a vehicle on highways and job sites.
  • Possess strong oral and written communications skills and have the ability to effectively interact with and build strong relationships with clients, customers, contractors, and other key stakeholders.

Nice To Haves

  • Be a Professional Engineer (PE) in good standing.
  • SPE or PA experience on FDOT and municipal construction projects.
