About The Position

AECOM is seeking a CEI Construction Services Inspector to join their transportation team in the Port St Lucie, Florida area. This role involves working on various infrastructure projects, including roadway and bridge construction, and providing high-quality construction engineering and inspection services. The inspector will be responsible for ensuring construction work complies with contract documents through field inspections and testing.

Requirements

High School Diploma plus 2 years of related experience, or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
Valid U.S Driver’s License required to visit project sites, clients, and other AECOM offices.
Must pass a Motor Vehicle Records review.
US Citizenship is required due to the nature of the projects.

Responsibilities

Inspecting construction work and conducting field tests for compliance with contract documents.
Assisting the Senior CEI Inspector in their duties and reviewing work in progress.
Monitoring conformance to quality, performance, specifications, and/or code requirements.
Performing daily field inspections and maintaining inspection records.
Participating in punch lists, testing, and commissioning.
Tracking quality assurance progress.
Conducting construction inspection of roadway and bridge construction.
Monitoring on-site construction activities.
Conducting inspections, observations, and performing materials tests.
Checking construction work.
Communicating effectively in English (verbally and in writing).
