Lochner, an Egis company is recruiting for a CEI Inspector in the Kentucky market. The ideal candidate will perform field inspections along with using material sampling, testing equipment and approve testing procedures. Requirements

2+ years of construction inspection experience - heavy highway/roadway construction experience is preferred.
A general knowledge of construction techniques and an ability to read plans and specifications is mandatory.
Must possess a valid Kansas driver license and maintain a clean driving record.
Requires good communication and documentation skills - must possess the ability to communicate findings or instructions with engineers, other inspectors, and material testing technicians.
Must be able to use an IPAD or equivalent to log daily inspection reports.
Job duties require travel anywhere in the state depending on project location.
Some overnight stays may be required for remote projects.

Responsibilities

Performs field inspections and assures that work meets standards and specifications.
Uses materials sampling and testing equipment and approved testing procedures.
Inspects traffic control and helps contractors maintain workplace safety standards.
Creates timely and succinct documentation of construction activities and inspection findings.
Operates company vehicle traveling to construction sites or delivering materials samples.
