Cleveland Clinic Martin North Hospital is a fully integrated, state-of-the-art medical campus that includes diagnostic centers, outpatient surgery and a 24-hour emergency department. Martin North Hospital is part of the world-renowned Cleveland Clinic, a nonprofit, multispecialty, academic medical center that integrates clinical and hospital care with research and education. A Clinical Engineer Technician maintains, services, and repairs medical equipment. This could take the form of preventative measures, cleaning, or adjusting pieces of equipment. CE Technicians are also familiar enough with hospital machinery to disassemble, repair, and reassemble various pieces of technology, although they might specialize in a specific kind of machinery. They are always up to date on the most recent technologies emerging in the medical field and help ensure that other hospital staff members use the machinery safely. A caregiver in this position works days, Monday – Friday 7:00 a.m. —3:30 p.m. + on call rotation. A caregiver who excels in this role will: Provide routine and as needed clinical engineering services (repair, maintenance, relocation, installation, etc.) for equipment. Maintain documentation of equipment, inventory, service and repairs. Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on equipment.
