About The Position

The CE Sr. Consultant is responsible for leading end‑to‑end implementations and optimizations of D365 Field Service for our clients. This role combines deep application expertise with strong consulting, solution design, and client‑facing skills to deliver scalable, high‑quality field service solutions.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 CE / Dynamics CRM applications, with at least 3+ years focused specifically on Field Service implementations.
  • Proven track record leading multiple full lifecycle D365 CE Field Service projects (from discovery through go‑live and hypercare).
  • Strong functional knowledge of: Work orders, incident types, service tasks, and service agreements
  • Resources, skills, crews, and resource scheduling (including RSO/FSO if applicable)
  • Assets, functional locations, and service history
  • Inventory, warehouses, parts management, and returns
  • Field Service mobile app implementation and adoption
  • Solid understanding of core D365 CE concepts: security model, solutions, entities/tables, forms, views, business rules, and business process flows.
  • Experience working with Power Platform components (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI) to extend Field Service capabilities.
  • Strong consulting skills: requirements facilitation, process design, stakeholder management, and executive communication.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate business requirements into clear functional designs.

  • Experience with other D365 CE applications, especially:
  • Customer Insights (data unification, segments, customer profiles, and journey‑driven service insights).
  • Sales (lead and opportunity management, quoting, forecasting, and hand‑off from sales to field service).
  • Project Operations (especially scenarios where projects, resources, and field delivery processes intersect).
  • Experience designing cross‑app processes spanning Sales, Field Service, and Project Operations (e.g., opportunity‑to‑project‑to‑work‑order scenarios).
  • Familiarity with integrating D365 CE Field Service with ERP solutions (e.g., D365 Finance & Supply Chain) for inventory, assets, and financials.
  • Relevant Microsoft certifications, such as:
  • Microsoft Certified: Dynamics 365 Field Service Functional Consultant Associate (MB‑240)
  • Microsoft Certified: Dynamics 365 Customer Insights (Journeys/Data) or Sales Functional Consultant Associate
  • Microsoft Certified: Project Operations (or related project‑focused certification)
  • Experience in industries with complex field service operations.

Responsibilities

  • Lead workshops to gather and refine business requirements for field service, asset management, scheduling/dispatch, and mobile workforce scenarios.
  • Design end‑to‑end Dynamics 365 CE Field Service solutions, including work orders, incident types, agreements, entitlements, assets, inventory, and resource scheduling.
  • Configure and extend D365 Field Service, including the mobile app, resource scheduling optimization, and integration with related CE apps and external systems.
  • Map current‑state processes, define future‑state service operating models, and translate requirements into functional designs and configuration.
  • Own functional solution design documents, configuration workbooks, and test scenarios for field service processes.
  • Collaborate with technical teams on integrations, data migration, and customizations (Power Platform, plugins, Azure services, etc.).
  • Lead system testing, UAT, and production cutover activities for Field Service projects.
  • Provide guidance and best practices on field service KPIs, SLAs, parts and inventory management, and technician productivity.
  • Train super users, dispatchers, and field technicians on D365 Field Service and related CE applications.
  • Support pre‑sales activities, including demos, solution proposals, estimations, and SOW input for Field Service opportunities.
  • Mentor junior consultants and contribute to internal methodologies, accelerators, and knowledge assets focused on D365 Field Service.
