About The Position

The CE Attractions Associate provides exceptional guest service to all guests at Crayola Experience and Mall of America. This role is responsible for maintaining welcoming and inviting attractions through cleaning, open communication, and other duties as needed. The associate will engage with guests, determine their needs, and offer assistance accordingly, while supporting Crayola's educational mission to use the arts for children's development. Responsibilities include facilitating art projects, preparing and maintaining materials, monitoring activities, and cleaning work stations. The associate will adapt facilitation based on guest volume, assist in workshops, parties, and special events, and answer guest questions about Crayola Experience, Mall of America, and the local region. A key part of the role involves understanding and explaining ticket policies, operating special attractions safely, and utilizing loss prevention procedures. The position also requires cross-training in other departments and a willingness to assist as needed, along with working a flexible schedule including weekends, holidays, evenings, and high-volume days.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 16 years of age.
  • Outstanding guest service skills.
  • Strong listening and verbal and written communication skills.
  • Able to work independently or on a team.
  • Basic knowledge of computers preferred.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience in a museum, educational setting, guest service center or family attraction preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide outstanding guest service consistent with Crayola and Mall of America missions and standards.
  • Engage with guests by determining guest needs and offering assistance accordingly.
  • Support the Crayola brand’s educational mission to use the arts as a tool for intellectual and emotional development of children.
  • Facilitate art projects and activities with guests.
  • Prepare materials, maintain appropriate stock of necessary materials, monitors activities, and cleans and organizes work stations as assigned.
  • Monitor activity areas and adapt the facilitation of an area according to guest volume.
  • Assist in workshops, birthday parties, special events, and outreach activities as needed.
  • Assist guests with product, ticket, and general questions concerning Crayola Experience, Mall of America and the local region.
  • Understand the tickets and products carried, their features, options, and benefits, as well as the branding of Crayola Experience and Mall of America.
  • Explain and enforce ticket policies for Crayola Experience and other attractions.
  • Operate special attractions as trained to ensure safety and a positive guest experience.
  • Utilize and maintain loss prevention procedures for both product and currency.
  • Cross train to other MOA and Crayola departments, and willing to regularly be assigned to assist.
  • Work a flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays, evenings, and high-volume days.
  • Other duties as assigned.
