About The Position

Crystal Stairs, Inc. is seeking a CDSS Quality Control Program Coordinator to supervise and manage program monitoring of the CDSS department workflows, data collection, file audits, and reports to achieve the department compliance goals while managing and providing direct support and supervision to department Quality Control Program Specialists. The Quality Control Program Coordinator is primarily responsible for California Department of Social Services (CDSS) program quality management oversight and working with department quality control program specialists to ensure contract compliance with the CDSS childcare subsidy contracts workflow. This role involves maintaining and monitoring ongoing audit compliance checks for the CDSS Department, ensuring quality management oversight including review of all proposed contract changes, and monitoring findings reports to ensure contract integrity is implemented as required by the CDSS. The coordinator will analyze key program indicators to ensure program viability, plan and implement strategies in line with agency goals and contract requirements to increase productivity and compliance, and partner with the Family Services Manager to ensure corrective and preventative actions are detected for continuous improvement initiatives. The position also requires ensuring all documents are up-to-date and accurate, serving as an agency representative for CDSS and other agencies as directed, representing the program and agency at professional organizations and meetings, and working as a liaison with other departments to facilitate inter-departmental communication and mitigate risk. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science/Arts degree from an accredited university in Business Management, Business Data Analytics, Education, Public Administration, Child Development, Social Services or related field.
  • Related work experience in case management or compliance may be substituted for college level education.
  • Minimum 3-5 years supervisory experience managing a staff of at least 4 – 8 people required.
  • 1-2 years demonstrated experience increasing workflow processes, work effectiveness and compliance within a department.
  • Knowledge of the childcare subsidy contracts which are funded by the California Department of Education and the County of Los Angeles Department of Public Social Services.
  • Excellent leadership, communication and customer relations skills.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to details.
  • Excellent presentation/public speaking and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in computer word processing and spreadsheet programs, including MS Office.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise, mentor, and guide department quality control specialists to identify staff development and training needs.
  • Provide direction, leadership, and coaching to department quality control specialists by conducting periodic check-ins.
  • Ensure that performance goals are set and met using performance expectations and standards that have been clearly communicated to staff.
  • Resolve conflicts effectively and follow disciplinary procedures, and conduct fair and impartial performance appraisals using agency policies and procedures.
  • Maintain and monitor ongoing audit compliance checks for the CDSS Department.
  • Ensure quality management oversight including review of all proposed contract changes, to ensure contract integrity is implemented as required by the CDSS.
  • Monitor and ensure the findings reports are completed each quarter for assigned programs.
  • Analyze key program indicators to ensure program viability.
  • Plan and implement strategies that are in line with agency goals, contract requirements and will increase productivity and compliance.
  • Partner with the Family Services Manager to ensure corrective and preventative actions are detected for continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Make sure all documents are up-to-date and accurate.
  • At the direction of the Family Services Manager, serve as an agency representative for CDSS, LA Alliance agencies, CAPPA etc.).
  • Represent program and agency at professional organizations, community meetings, trainings, and meetings with funding agencies.
  • Work as a liaison with other departments to facilitate inter-departmental communication regarding general work with other departments to mitigate risk.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
