We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and dependable CDS Payroll Specialist to join our growing office team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing payroll processes, ensuring accurate and timely employee payments, maintaining compliance with payroll regulations, and supporting administrative functions within the organization. A CDS payroll specialist at an FMSA calculates and processes payroll for personal care attendants hired directly by individuals with disabilities or older adults. They also verify timesheet accuracy, and ensure compliance with Medicaid and labor laws to keep the self-directed care program running smoothly! This role is perfect for someone who wants to continue building a career in healthcare administration, payroll, or office operations within a stable company that values professional development and employee wellness.

Requirements

  • Proven payroll, administrative, or accounting experience preferred
  • Familiarity with payroll clock-in/out systems, time sheets, etc.
  • Strong understanding of reconciliation processes
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and reporting
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to identify discrepancies and resolve issues efficiently
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to handle confidential information professionally
  • Reliable, professional, and team-oriented mindset
  • Applicants with at least one year of payroll or administrative experience, a dependable work ethic, or strong professional references are encouraged to apply.
  • Must be able to work Monday–Friday | 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

Responsibilities

  • Process bi-weekly payroll accurately and on time for all employees
  • Ensure accuracy in employee hours, yearly state forms, and payroll records
  • Perform payroll-related account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies promptly
  • Respond to employee payroll questions and provide timely resolutions
  • Assist with payroll audits and prepare necessary supporting documentation
  • Maintain professionalism and confidentiality regarding sensitive client and employee information
