About The Position

The Transformation Activation Lead will play a critical role in enabling the successful adoption and value realization of strategic transformation initiatives across Clinical Development & Operations (CD&O). Working across CD&O’s nine functional areas, the role will develop an overarching organizational program while ensuring that function-specific change readiness and transformation activities are coordinated, aligned, and executed consistently. In close partnership with functional representatives, business leaders, and technology teams, the incumbent will provide strategic planning, communications, and stakeholder engagement support to maximize adoption and deliver meaningful impact for the CD&O workforce, partners, and stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree with at least 8+ years of experience.
  • Experience driving operating model, process, capability, or technology transformation within complex matrixed organizations.
  • Experience developing and coordinating an integrated transformation readiness and enablement program across interdependent workstreams.
  • Experience assessing organizational readiness, stakeholder impacts, adoption barriers, and change risks.
  • Experience establishing value-realization measures.
  • Experience developing communication strategies and delivering executive-level communications.
  • Experience working with senior leaders and executive stakeholders.
  • Strong understanding of change management methodologies and frameworks.
  • Excellent written, verbal, presentation, and facilitation skills.
  • Ability to influence without direct authority and build relationships across diverse stakeholder groups.
  • Strong program management and organizational skills.
  • Experience creating executive presentations, storytelling materials, and communication campaigns.
  • Ability to analyze readiness, adoption, stakeholder feedback, and value-realization measures and translate insights into targeted action plans.

Nice To Haves

  • Master's degree with at least 7 + years of experience; OR a PhD with 5+ years of experience , OR a MD with 4 + years of experience.
  • Advanced degree in Business, Communications, Organizational Development, Human Resources, Change Management, or related discipline preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute an overarching change readiness and enablement program for strategic transformation initiatives across CD&O, with coordinated plans tailored to the needs of each function.
  • Assess organizational readiness, stakeholder impacts, change risks, adoption barriers, and function-specific needs across CD&O’s nine functional areas.
  • Design and coordinate change interventions that support sustained shifts in mindsets, routines, processes, and ways of working as new technology and transformation capabilities are introduced.
  • Establish and track readiness, adoption, and value-realization measures to assess change effectiveness, surface insights, and guide targeted action across CD&O.
  • Develop and implement an integrated CD&O communications strategy that supports the overarching transformation program while addressing function-specific needs.
  • Create compelling executive-level communications, presentations, newsletters, talking points, intranet content, and leadership updates.
  • Ensure messaging is consistent, coordinated, and appropriately tailored across CD&O’s functions, global stakeholder groups, and transformation initiatives.
  • Support leadership engagement through communication planning, executive briefings, and All Hands Meetings materials.
  • Build strong partnerships with functional representatives, business leaders, technology teams, transformation program leads, and key influencers to align priorities and coordinate execution.
  • Lead stakeholder mapping and engagement planning across CD&O, creating clear mechanisms for two-way communication and alignment.
  • Establish and enable a network of functional Change Champions to serve as advocates, share workforce feedback, and support peer-to-peer learning and adoption.
  • Create mechanisms to capture workforce, partner, and stakeholder feedback and translate insights into transformation planning and targeted approaches.
  • Build awareness, understanding, advocacy, and practical confidence in strategic transformation initiatives, helping teams adopt consistent and sustainable new ways of working.
  • Partner with functional representatives, business leaders, and technology teams to develop coordinated learning, enablement, and adoption strategies.
  • Define overarching capability-building plans and function-specific approaches that support the successful adoption of new technologies, processes, operating models, and ways of working.
  • Collaborate with learning and development teams as appropriate to deliver effective training experiences.
