About The Position

The CDM Analyst plays a crucial role in ensuring accurate billing and reimbursement processes within the healthcare facility. They are responsible for maintaining, updating, and auditing the CDM, which serves as the foundation for billing procedures. The CDM Analyst collaborates with various departments to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and optimal revenue capture.

Requirements

Prior experience in healthcare billing, revenue cycle management, or CDM management required.
Strong understanding of healthcare billing regulations, coding systems, and reimbursement methodologies.
Epic Chargemaster certification or obtained within the next scheduled Epic training block.
Proficient knowledge and ability to use a computer (must be keyboard proficient) and other office technology (i.e., telephone, fax, etc.), MS Outlook and Word.
Ability to maintain collaborative and respectable working relationships throughout SRHS and other organizations.
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Attention to detail and the ability to multi-task in complex situations is required.
Ability to perceive the nature of sound at normal speaking levels with or without correction.
Ability to make fine discriminations in sound.
Close visual acuity and the ability to adjust the eye to bring an object into sharp focus.
Ability to be active for extended periods of time without experiencing undue fatigue.
Ability to work schedules assigned with the understanding that changes may be instituted according to the needs of the hospital for off days, shifts or weekends.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, Finance, or related field preferred; will consider five or more years in previous CDM or coding role in lieu of formal education.
Certification as a Certified Professional Coder (CPC) or Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) preferred.
Craneware certifications preferred.
