CDL Yard Driver
About The Position
Clean Earth is seeking a CDL A Jockey Driver who shares their commitment to people, partners, and the planet. In this role, you will be responsible for shuttling semi-trailers and containers between two facilities, approximately one mile apart, while strictly adhering to all safety protocols. Jockeys are skilled in operating switchers to dock or reposition containers and other large items, and may also utilize other warehouse equipment for waste transportation. This position offers a competitive pay of $28/hr and operates Monday through Friday from 12 pm to 8:30 pm. A $5,000 sign-on bonus is also available.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- CDL Class A
- Fluency in English (verbal and written)
- Ability to pass a DOT physical, drug test and DEA background check.
Nice To Haves
- CDL HAZMat endorsement for transporting waste (will need to obtain at company expense after hire)
- Previous experience as a yard jockey or hostler
- Ability to operate powered equipment, such as a forklift.
