About The Position

The CDL Driver (A) - Yard position requires a qualified individual to move trailers and equipment throughout the facility, conduct inspections of equipment, report defects to dispatch or supervisors, and operate yard and material handling equipment in a dirty, wet, and noisy environment in all weather conditions.

Requirements

Minimum of one year of relevant yard, warehouse, or industrial experience
Ability to learn and operate yard trucks and equipment safely
Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
Reliable and cooperative team member
Ability to work in hot, cold, wet, and dirty conditions
Ability to safely operate yard equipment in a fast-paced environment
Ability to learn trailer positioning and backing techniques
Excellent communication skills

Nice To Haves

Prior experience in tire recycling or manufacturing is a plus
Willingness to be trained and certified to operate a forklift

Responsibilities

Operate yard trucks and equipment safely during procedures involving both loaded and empty containers
Transfer and reposition trailers within the yard and designated areas
Assist with staging and organizing trailers for loading and unloading
Complete necessary paperwork including trailer numbers, weights, and material type
Inspect equipment before and after use and report any issues to dispatch or supervisor
Assist in loading and unloading tasks as needed
Back trailers into designated areas for efficient operations
Collaborate with team members to maintain smooth yard operations
Adhere to safety standards and company policies at all times
Maintain yard equipment in good working condition
