About The Position

The Driver position is responsible for operating tractor trailers at the plant, distribution center and outside warehouses. As a CDL Truck driver, you’ll be part of our team located in Sedalia MO. You’ll get to: Continuously perform all required tasks in a safe manner, adhering to all established safety rules and procedures. Must take immediate action to correct and/or report any unsafe conditions and hazards. Take an active role in caring for the equipment to prevent breakdowns and defects and help increase overall equipment efficiency through 5S, TPM (total productive maintenance), and other Lean Manufacturing initiatives directed by the Sedalia site. The employee will be required to meet satisfactory performance requirements as determined by the Supervisor. Additional responsibilities include good housekeeping and other assignments as directed by the Supervisor. The employee shall be able to work overtime as requested and posted by management. Employee must have current DOT certification with a class A license DOT Class A certification requirements must be met and maintained Employee must be able to drive a tractor to move trailers at the plant, distribution center and outside warehouses Driver shall also work in warehouse when trailers are not needed and be capable of operating warehouse material handling equipment to transport finished goods and materials including picking up, stacking and tiering.

Requirements

Basic computer knowledge
Good manual dexterity
Ability to read instructions represented in manuals, drawings, schematics etc. and follow them with precision
Good understanding of quality control principles
Good communication skills (verbal and written)
Experience and ability in using hand tools
Age 18 years or older
DOT Certified with a class A license
Class A license DOT certification requirements must be met and maintained

Responsibilities
