About The Position

ChristianaCare is looking for a full-time CDL Truck Driver to drive a box truck transporting hospital supplies and equipment between the distribution center, CCHS sites, and/or assigned locations. This role is crucial for ensuring the smooth operation of materials distribution and logistics within the healthcare system.

Requirements

• High school graduate or equivalent
• 2 years of Materials Distribution transportation experience
• Experience in material handling equipment
• Valid State of Delaware Driver's License Class "B" (CDL) and safe driving record.

Responsibilities

• Drives in accordance with police and safety regulations.
• Loads, unloads, and transports all hospital supplies and equipment between the distribution center and hospitals.
• Maintains clean and organized vehicles.
• Works rotating/flex shifts to include nights/weekends/holidays in all-weather types.
• Turns in a daily vehicle inspections report and driver log.
• Performs assigned work safely, adhering to established departmental safety rules and practices.
• Reports to supervisor, in a timely manner, any unsafe activities, conditions, hazards, or safety violations that may cause injury to oneself, other employees, patients and visitors.
• Performs other related duties as required.
