About The Position

Prairie Materials in Chicagoland is looking to hire full-time CDL Truck Driver to deliver concrete to our customers. This full-time driving position earns a competitive wage of $34.40-$38.10 per hour, depending on location/local. Employees receive a pay increase every 6 months. After 18 months of employment, CDL Truck Drivers earn a competitive wage of $43.00-$47.63 per hour. Requirements

Class A or B CDL with an airbrake endorsement and without license restrictions
Minimal experience driving a commercial vehicle
Experience with a manual transmission commercial vehicle
3 or fewer moving violations within 2 years
Ability to lift 50-100 lbs.
Ability to climb ladders

A non-excepted interstate CDL classification is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

Drive a ready-mix truck to deliver concrete to construction job sites.
Interact with customers on job sites during each pour.
Maintain communication with the dispatcher regarding scheduling issues such as traffic, placement speed, access difficulties, or accidents.
Follow safety compliance policies and procedures.
Ensure timely deliveries and a stress-free customer experience.
