About The Position

As a CDL Truck Driver for the largest manufacturer of inground swimming pools in North America, you play a vital role in safely and reliably transporting fiberglass pools, spas, and related materials from our distribution center to installation sites. Our drivers deliver exceptional service, uphold high safety standards, and serve as professional representatives of our company. Most routes allow drivers to return home the same day or the following day.

Requirements

  • Valid Class A CDL.
  • Minimum of 2 years of CDL driving experience.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age (per insurance requirements).
  • Good, safe, driving record.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Solid knowledge of regional roads and safe driving practices.
  • Ability to read and follow customer orders, delivery instructions, and safety regulations.
  • Ability to regularly sit, stand, walk, climb, tie down loads, communicate clearly, and lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to travel is required, occasional overnight trips.

Responsibilities

  • Safely and accurately load, secure, transport, and unload fiberglass pools, spas, and related equipment.
  • Verify that all cargo is properly secured in accordance with company and DOT requirements.
  • Follow assigned permitted routes and delivery schedules to ensure on-time delivery.
  • Adhere to required rest periods and fatigue-management guidelines.
  • Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections; immediately report any mechanical or safety concerns.
  • Maintain accurate driving, delivery, and maintenance logs in compliance with DOT regulations.
  • Track and report hours of service and all required documentation.
  • Comply with all company policies, safety procedures, and federal/state transportation regulations.
  • Operate vehicles safely in varying road and weather conditions.
  • Obtain customer signatures, delivery receipts, and collect payments when required.
  • Report vehicle defects, accidents, incidents, near misses, injuries, or property damage promptly.
  • Provide professional, courteous customer service at all delivery locations.
  • During downtime, may be asked to perform small maintenance or clean up tasks around the facility.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
