About The Position

Prairie Materials in Rockford, IL is looking to hire a CDL Truck Driver to deliver concrete to our customers. This truck driving position earns a competitive wage of $28.43-$38.36 per hour, depending on location/local. Prairie Materials owns and operates a network of concrete plants and aggregate facilities in Illinois, Indiana, and Michigan. Requirements

Class A or B CDL with an airbrake endorsement and without license restrictions
Minimal experience driving a commercial vehicle
Experience with a manual transmission commercial vehicle
3 or fewer moving violations within 2 years
Ability to lift 50-100 lbs.
Ability to climb ladders

Responsibilities

Drive a ready-mix truck to deliver concrete to construction job sites.
Interact with customers on job sites during each pour.
Maintain communication with the dispatcher regarding scheduling issues such as traffic, placement speed, access/egress difficulties, or accidents.
Follow safety compliance policies and procedures.
Ensure customers receive deliveries on time and have a stress-free experience.
