About The Position

Front-End Drivers operate front-end trucks that provide services to a variety of multi-family residential and commercial routes removing and transporting waste or recyclables in fulfillment of customer contracts. This position will service multiple customers per day according to assigned routes. The waste will then need to be transferred to the appropriate station, landfill or drop-off location. At GFL Environmental, we offer local routes that ensure you are home every single night while providing the stability of a 50-hour (OT WEEKLY) work week with a leading North American environmental services team. As a Front-End Driver, you are the face of GFL in the Cloverdale community. You’ll operate high-quality front-load equipment to service commercial and residential customers, ensuring our neighborhoods stay clean and sustainable. This is a hands-on role involving equipment operation, pre/post-trip inspections, and occasional maneuvering of containers. We pride ourselves on a culture of safety. You'll follow strict LOTO (Lock Out/Tag Out) procedures and federal safety standards to ensure you and the community stay safe.

Requirements

  • A valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL).
  • At least 1 year of commercial driving experience or a certificate from an accredited CDL school.
  • Ability to lift/move up to 50 lbs repetitively.
  • Ability to enter/exit the cab frequently.
  • A commitment to safety, punctuality, and great customer service.
  • Valid work authorization in the country where the job is located.
  • Successful candidates will be required to provide valid documentation confirming their eligibility to work in the country where the job is located prior to their start date.

Responsibilities

  • Operate front-end trucks to service multi-family residential and commercial routes.
  • Remove and transport waste or recyclables according to customer contracts and assigned routes.
  • Transfer waste to the appropriate station, landfill, or drop-off location.
  • Navigate assigned routes in and around Cloverdale.
  • Perform equipment operation, pre/post-trip inspections, and occasional maneuvering of containers.
  • Follow strict LOTO (Lock Out/Tag Out) procedures and federal safety standards.
