Requirements

  • High school diploma / GED
  • Must have a Class A CDL endorsement on your driver’s license
  • Must have completed a Powered Industrial Truck Operation Training course
  • Must demonstrate ability to properly operate a tractor-trailer on public highways
  • Must be able to lift, push, and pull up to 35 lbs

Responsibilities

  • Operate a tractor-trailer on public roads abiding by all Valeo and governmental agency rules and regulations to move loaded and empty trailers to and from off-site locations, truck docks and other assigned areas
  • Operate a tractor-trailer to: transport company materials and product, refuel, obtain service, etc
  • Take responsibility for minor maintenance which would include general truck inspection prior to operating and minor emergency/temporary repairs
  • Maintain required travel logs, reports, etc
  • When not operating truck, perform work of “Fork Truck Operator” in all warehouse functions
  • Notify designated personnel of any irregularities in materials, process, or equipment
  • Perform each phase of job in full compliance with all company, state and/or federal safety and environmental regulations
  • Perform all other duties and responsibilities as assigned by supervision
