About The Position

Kwik Trip is seeking motivated individuals to join our CDL Truck Driver Trainee program. This program offers the unique opportunity to get paid while attending school to obtain your Commercial Driver's License (CDL), with your tuition fully paid. Upon successful completion of the training, you will have a guaranteed driving position with Kwik Trip. The role begins as a Delivery Assistant for the first 6 weeks, where you will learn the techniques of delivery, working a 4 days on, 2 days off rotation with an approximate 3pm start time. Following this, you will complete a 4-week CDL training course on a day shift, Monday through Friday. The final 6-8 weeks involve working as a CDL Driver Trainee, continuing the 4 days on, 2 days off rotation with a 3pm start time, working alongside Kwik Trip Trainers. At the end of this period, you will set your seniority. Established drivers work a 4 days on, 2 days off rotating schedule, including holidays, averaging 50-60 hours per week with a 3pm start time.

Requirements

• At least 21 years old to be a Delivery Assistant and CDL Driver Trainee
• Excellent driving record in accordance with Kwik Trip’s driving matrix
• Ability to meet DOT requirements upon completion of training, including a DOT drug screen and DOT physical
• Willingness to sign a contract to enter Kwik Trip’s CDL Tuition Reimbursement Program
• Commitment to accept a driving position with Kwik Trip upon completion of apprenticeship
• Applicants must live within 60 Miles & 60 Minutes of Deforest, WI to qualify

Responsibilities

• Assisting with unloading up to 30,000 pounds of product at Kwik Trip Stores
• Placing products in the correct location (cooler, freezer, backroom)
• Working with minimal supervision in a safety-conscious environment
• Working in a variety of weather/temperature conditions
