About The Position

Kwik Trip is offering a unique opportunity for individuals to become a CDL Truck Driver through our trainee program. This program allows you to get paid while you go to school for your CDL, with tuition paid for, and a guaranteed job upon completion. You will start as a Delivery Assistant for 6 weeks, learning the delivery process, followed by 4 weeks of CDL training. After obtaining your CDL, you will transition to a CDL Driver Trainee for another 6-8 weeks, working with Kwik Trip Trainers. Upon successful completion, you will become an established route driver with a rotating schedule and the opportunity for significant annual earnings.

Requirements

At least 21 years old to be a Delivery Assistant and CDL Driver Trainee
Excellent driving record in accordance with Kwik Trip’s driving matrix
Ability to meet DOT requirements upon the completion of training (DOT drug screen and DOT physical)
Willing to sign contract to enter Kwik Trip’s CDL Tuition Reimbursement Program
Commitment to accept a driving position with Kwik Trip upon completion of apprenticeship
Sit up to 6 hours at a time
Stand up to 2 hours at a time
Bend/reach/twist/stoop/squat frequently
Lift up to 75 pounds to waist level occasionally
Lift up to 70 pounds to 60 inches occasionally
Lift up to 40 pounds to 72 inches frequently
Carry 90 pounds occasionally
Push/pull up to 100 pounds of force occasionally
Must live within 60 Miles & 60 Minutes of Deforest, WI to qualify

Responsibilities

Assisting with unloading up to 30,000 pounds of product at Kwik Trip Stores
Placing products in the correct location (cooler, freezer, backroom)
Working with minimal supervision in a safety-conscious environment
Working in a variety of weather/temperature conditions
Learning the technique of delivery as a Delivery Assistant
Completing the CDL training course
Working with Kwik Trip Trainers as a CDL Driver Trainee
