About The Position

Hood Distribution is a rapidly growing hardwood lumber wholesale company seeking CDL Truck Drivers (Class A) to join their team. This position offers the opportunity to be home, excellent benefits, and potential for advancement within the organization.

Requirements

Valid State’s CDL Class A Driver’s License
Good Driving Record
Prior Tarping experience related to Truck Deliveries
Familiarity with and ability to operate a Forklift as needed
Ability to work independently and in a team atmosphere
Professional and customer-oriented attitude
Must consent to a background check and a drug screen.
Must provide documentation indicating legal right to work in the U.S.

High school diploma/GED preferred

Responsibilities

Deliver Lumber and Building Materials to Cabinet/Millwork Shops and Lumber Dealers.
Follow trucking dispatcher/trucking logistics directions, ensuring all trucking deliveries are performed accurately and in a timely manner.
Assist customers with unloading truck as needed.
Ensure all delivered materials are properly loaded onto the trucks and securely fastened for travel in accordance with Company Standards.
Comply with all DOT regulations and ensure a safe working environment is maintained at all times.
Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed.
