About The Position

This role is for an Occasional Transportation Driver who is passionate about making every ride unforgettable. The driver will be responsible for providing safe, seamless, and delightful vehicular adventures for residents, both on the VMRC campus and off-campus for Life Enrichment (LE) programming. The role involves teaming up with the LE crew to supercharge programs and activities, ensuring every event is fun and fulfilling. This position offers the opportunity to drive positive change and make a real difference.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• CDL required.
• Must hold a current Virginia driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to safely operate VMRC vehicles.
• Physically able to maneuver in small spaces while performing wheelchair lockdowns.
• Must obtain First Aid and CPR certification within 60 days of hire.
• At least 1 year of experience working with older adults is preferred.
• Pleasant personality with the ability to collaborate calmly, cooperatively, and professionally with staff, residents, and the public.
• Self-motivated self-starter capable of executing oral/written assignments independently with limited supervision.
• Flexibility for changing priorities.
• Effective teamwork across campus.
