CDL Trainee - Ready Mix Driver
About The Position
Cemstone is hiring CDL driver trainees to fill our Ready-Mix Driver roles. As a Trainee, you will be enrolled in our PAID driver training program, which includes driving skills training, classroom instruction, and behind-the-wheel practice. Prior to starting the program, you must have a state-certified CDL learner's permit. Upon successful completion of this training program, you will obtain a CDL Class B license and be ready to advance to a Cemstone Ready Mix Driver, with a job assignment at the conclusion of training. The training program is scheduled for June/July 2026 in Fort Dodge, IA.
Requirements
- Must have a state-certified CDL learner's permit prior to starting the program.
- Must have a valid driver's license.
- Pass the pre-employment DOT physical, work simulation, and drug test to obtain the DOT medical card.
- Must register with the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) Drug & Alcohol Clearinghouse.
Responsibilities
- Commit to 100% attendance of the entire 6-week training program.
- Actively participate in classroom exercises and hands-on instruction.
- Maintain satisfactory feedback from instructors and driver/coaches during all phases of the training program (classroom, yard skills, and on-the-road driving).
- Successfully obtain a CDL Class A license within 30 days of completing the training program.
