CDL Tanker Driver

About The Position

DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES · Safely operate a tractor trailer tanker in a manner that reduces risk and liabilities. · Transport fuel, water, and other liquid materials in accordance with State and Federal regulations. · Load, unload, and handle liquid products using proper pumping equipment and procedures. · Ensure proper securement and handling of liquid loads to prevent spills or contamination. · Perform and properly document pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the truck and trailer to ensure they are in a safe and legal condition. · Maintain accurate records of trip details, including mileage, fuel consumption, product volumes, and hours worked. · Communicate effectively with dispatchers, project managers, and other team members to coordinate delivery schedules in a direct and friendly manner. · Always adhere to Emery Sapp & Sons safety policies and procedures. · Perform basic maintenance and minor repairs on the truck and trailer when necessary. · Assist with loading and unloading operations at job sites and facilities as needed. · Occasional heavy lifting. · Work primarily in and around the Muskogee, OK area, with some travel as required. · Accurately navigate a tractor trailer using instructions, maps, or GPS, to a wide variety of locations both on road and off. · Properly wear and safely use PPE. · Properly record hours worked using an ELD in compliance with Hours of Service regulations. · Document product pickups and deliveries. · Ensure accuracy of product type, quantity, and delivery location. QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE, AND EXPERIENCE · High school diploma or equivalent. · Valid Class A CDL with Tanker endorsement (no restrictions preferred). · Valid DOT Med Cert with Non-Excepted Interstate self-certification. · Minimum of 3 years of experience hauling liquids (fuel, water, or similar products) preferred. · Experience with tanker operations, including pumping systems and liquid load management required. · Hazardous Materials endorsement on CDL preferred, but not required. · Knowledge of Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations and best practices for liquid transport. · Strong understanding of safety procedures related to fuel and liquid hauling. · Strong communication and teamwork skills. · Ability to work independently and manage time effectively. · Basic mechanical skills for minor truck and trailer maintenance. · Willingness to travel to various job sites as needed. · Ability to follow written and verbal instructions with a high degree of accuracy. · Ability to read, understand and navigate using paper and/or digital maps. · Ability to sit for long periods of time. Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Valid Class A CDL with Tanker endorsement (no restrictions preferred).
