About The Position

This position is for our construction projects in Muskogee, Oklahoma. Must be willing to travel if not local! DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES Safely operate a tractor trailer tanker in a manner that reduces risk and liabilities. Transport fuel, water, and other liquid materials in accordance with State and Federal regulations. Load, unload, and handle liquid products using proper pumping equipment and procedures. Ensure proper securement and handling of liquid loads to prevent spills or contamination. Perform and properly document pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the truck and trailer to ensure they are in a safe and legal condition. Maintain accurate records of trip details, including mileage, fuel consumption, product volumes, and hours worked. Communicate effectively with dispatchers, project managers, and other team members to coordinate delivery schedules in a direct and friendly manner. Always adhere to Emery Sapp & Sons safety policies and procedures. Perform basic maintenance and minor repairs on the truck and trailer when necessary. Assist with loading and unloading operations at job sites and facilities as needed. Occasional heavy lifting. Work primarily in and around the Muskogee, OK area, with some travel as required. Accurately navigate a tractor trailer using instructions, maps, or GPS, to a wide variety of locations both on road and off. Properly wear and safely use PPE. Properly record hours worked using an ELD in compliance with Hours of Service regulations. Document product pickups and deliveries. Ensure accuracy of product type, quantity, and delivery location.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid Class A CDL with Tanker endorsement (no restrictions preferred).
  • Valid DOT Med Cert with Non-Excepted Interstate self-certification.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience hauling liquids (fuel, water, or similar products) preferred.
  • Experience with tanker operations, including pumping systems and liquid load management required.
  • Hazardous Materials endorsement on CDL is required.
  • Knowledge of Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations and best practices for liquid transport.
  • Strong understanding of safety procedures related to fuel and liquid hauling.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • Basic mechanical skills for minor truck and trailer maintenance.
  • Willingness to travel to various job sites as needed.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Ability to read, understand and navigate using paper and/or digital maps.
  • Ability to sit for long periods of time.
