About The Position

Waste Connections is seeking a safety-focused CDL Swing Driver to operate a garbage truck or waste collection vehicle on assigned routes. The role supports residential and commercial solid waste and recycling collection and includes following route sheets and dispatch instructions, inspecting the vehicle, and interacting professionally with customers. The position involves outdoor work in varying conditions and contributes to essential environmental services in the local community.

Requirements

• Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL).
• Clean driving record and a safety-first mindset.
• At least 2 years of local route or commercial driving experience.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying conditions.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a garbage truck or waste collection vehicle on assigned routes.
• Collect residential and commercial solid waste and recyclables.
• Read and follow route sheets and dispatch instructions.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections, including checking fluids, tires, and safety equipment.
• Provide excellent customer service through professional interactions.
• Complete additional duties as assigned.
